- Statement
- Samples were collected in the summer of 2007 by field surveyors. Data were recorded from up to 591 1km squares sited across Britain, selected by random stratified sample. Samples were taken according to standardized protocols. Occurrence and abundance of species was recorded on digital field computers, then checked and uploaded to a database. Data are managed by the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology.
