- Statement
- Plants were transplanted into cores and grown in a controlled environmental facility. Soil nutrient data was collected from the cores using a combination of ion-exchange probes and acid digestion. A pulse labelling procedure was undertaken to provide 13CO2 to plants, and 3 days later the cores were dismantled and harvested. Analytical facilities were checked for quality control against known standards, and the entire dataset collated and scrutinised for outliers and unusual values.
