- Statement
- Geophysical equipment types used included: Surface Tow Boomer. British Geological Survey was contracted to undertake the survey on behalf of Natural Environment Research Council. 18 seismic lines were completed over the drill site using a surface tow boomer to visualise the bedrock formation and sediment layers. Multibeam lines were also run over the site to verify a previous diver survey carried out in the area assessing any potential seabed obstructions using a Kongsberg EM3002D Multibeam Echo sounder. There were issues with multibeam calibration throughout the survey, 11 lines were completed to show the seabed, however they are to be treated with caution as depths are not necessarily representative. See the Cruise Report for more information.
