This document is the drillers log of strata encountered during site investigation work. The log was made in the field during drilling at Prees, Shropshire on 8th to 10th January 2020. The log includes basic information on lithology and drilling equipment used and depths of the individual core runs.

This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine regional sampling survey took placein September 1978 in the Northern North Sea on board the MV Cape Shore. Seabed samples and cores were collected using unmanned submersible Consub, Shipek grab, Gravity corer and 1m Rockdrill. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS Internal Report 78/16.

This British Geological Survey (BGS) regional marine sampling survey (comprised of three legs) took place from May to August 1983 in Northern North Sea and the Minch, west of Scotland on board the MV Whitethorn. Seabed samples and cores were collected using Shipek grab, Gravity corer, Vibrocorer and cone dredge. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS Reports WB/MI/79/6, 8 and 14.

To acquire high quality biological data of suitable resolution to characterise and work towards a baseline for future monitoring of the sediment rock broadscale habitats and Habitat Features of Conservation interest (FOCI) found inside the MCZ and adjacent un-designated areas of the MCZ.
