  • The North Atlantic Marine Boundary Layer Experiment (NAMBLEX) campaign was conducted at Mace Head in Ireland from 24 July 2002 to 3 September 2002. During this campaign a suite of instruments, including several from the Universities Facility for Atmospheric Measurements (UFAM). This dataset contains 21 back trajectories corresponding to arrival on all ECMWF model levels between the ground and mid-troposphere, including surface pressure, temperature, specific humidity, zonal and meridional wind speeds and height from the UK Universities Global Atmospheric Modelling Programme (UGAMP).

This dataset contains vertical profiles of pressure, height, temperature, specific humidity and eastward and northward wind components from the ground-level to mid-troposphere. The ECMWF analyses data were truncated, were transformed onto a global grid with 320 longitudes and 160 latitudes and then linearly interpolated along 21 model levels to the location of Mace Head. The data processing was done by the UK Universities Global Atmospheric Modelling Programme (UGAMP) to support the NAMBLEX project.
